Chris,
I have clients running everything and nothing has ever come close to PMMail for reliability and functionality... certainly not outlook..cripes!
Perhaps it's just the interface design that is more familiar to an OS/2 user? I think Outlook is quite possibly the best e-mailer ever created. I love the Outlook Today function that tells me what I'm scheduled to do today, the rules are very powerful, WinFax integration is great, AutoArchive works wonderfully, need I go on? Give Outlook a month - you'll never go back (thus why I am searching for a replacement in Linux). -Tim ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. On the Topic of a Linux port, a couple of years ago I asked Robert (one of the original developers) and he said there was no plans. More recently I asked Jimmy McCorquodale of Blueprint Software, who now handle the product and he also told me there were no plans at the present time. That was about 2 months ago.
Anyway.. why not email and ask, it'd be a great asset to Linux and I'd pay for it as I have all the versions I have used.

Oh well, their loss. Linux is going to get some very exciting mailers soon enough. PMmail is just an OK mailer. Compared to IBM's mail client monster for OS/2 it was a much nicer, smaller and faster mailer. Compared to Balsa, Evolution, etc. it is just OK.

They ported it to Windows...and the company figured out that they could make more $ porting OS/2 apps to windows than to Linux.
I checked thier website a while back...they promised NO port to Linux.
Sigh.

PMMAil indeed originated in OS/2 but this one seems to be coming from a W2K machine:
X-Mailer: PMMail 2000 Standard (2.10.1999) For Windows 2000 (5.0.2128)

Sounds like an old OS/2 mailer that is still YEARS ahead of anything GUI oriented in Linux OR windows (Why so many Outlook clones...Outlook stinks IMNSHO)
Sigh...in light of trying to compile e-mailers and failing, I'd LOVE a port of PMMail to Linux...I'd even pay for it...
