I have a NetBSD-partition on one of my hard drives. Since I haven't yet figured out how to connect to Internet via modem under NetBSD I want to be able to transfer files from my LINUX system to the NetBSD slices.(No I'm not converting, it's just a way to learn UNIX from the bottom up.) I have compiled modular support for UFS and the experimental support for writing to UFS into my kernel. I have also compiled in support for BSD slices. (I hope this applies to NetBSD slices and not only FreeBSD slices.) If I mount any of my slices it shows up as mounted rw in /etc/mtab. Apparently also LINUX considers that there's something on them, since df produces reasonable output (but du claims they are empty!) PROBLEM: I cant find any files on my NetBSD slices, nor can I write to them. This is of course WAY off topic, so if you have a solution please mail me OFF the list. I posted the message to this list ONLY because there are quite some gurus out there.
