Hi all, I've installed the patched wvdial on my machine ..and Dial on deman works great , manually , ie with #wvdial.dod restart I want to run wvdial.dod at boot time.. so as per instructions on the SuSe site, I created the following links : ln -s /sbin/init.d/wvdial.dod /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S20wvdial.dod ln -s /sbin/init.d/wvdial.dod /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/K20wvdial.dod ln -s /sbin/init.d/wvdial.dod /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/S20wvdial.dod ln -s /sbin/init.d/wvdial.dod /sbin/init.d/rc3.d/K20wvdial.dod Also ln -s /sbin/init.d/wvdial.dod /sbin/wvdial.dod Before i upgraded wvdial, the above used to launched wvdial.dod at boot time ( but it wouldn't work ) ...NOW It work but does NOT start AUTOMATICALLY ! I'm running firewals on this machine that has an ISDN TA and eth0 . Because of this , I have had to add ( since the firewall script cannot find ppp0 at boot ) #/sbin/SuSEFirewall in the 2nd line of my /etc/ppp/ip-up script ... Could this have interfered with the launch of wvdial.dod ? If yes , what's teh solution ?
