I have a Dell Latitude CPt C333GT with SuSE 6.4 running great. Important info: don't use SAX for Xwindow setup during the auto install. When you get to that point just do it either manually or with XF86Config. The screen defaults to a 320x200 with a 640x480 window on it rooted at 0x0. What this means is that you can't see any buttons or choices to manipulate the GUI, nor can you get out without going to an alternate console. Just follow the directions for loading the sound modules as given by folks contributing to the Linux Laptop page. The machine will work just fine. I would recommend updating the BIOS from Dell's latest stuff on their home page. The laptop will run cooler, especially with large RAM installed. I'd love to get acceleration under X working but so far haven't felt slow at all. Have run VmWare with Win98 just for fun with no problems. -- __________________________________________________________ Dow Hurst Office: 770-499-3428 Systems Support Specialist Fax: 770-423-6744 1000 Chastain Rd.
