Yes. I installed SuSE 6.3 from YaST1. Actually, the main reason for installing 6.3 at the time was I wanted to look at the brand new YAST2 since my user group does periodic installfests in the Boston area. One problem is that SAX does not have my monitor in the database, so I need to enter the parameters manually. On 31 May 2000, at 18:07, Richards, Sean wrote:
has anyone tried installing SuSe Linux 6.3 without using the graphical method. Just asking because I have tried it and when I logged in as user root and then tried to did a StartX it gave me errors mostly with SAX. After I configured that it then told me that some files were not linked and that I should link them before starting X. The reason for all of this is that I don't have a MOBO that I can install from the CD-ROM drive with ********************************************************************** This e-mail and any attachment contains information which is private and confidential and is intended for the addressee only.
