Odd. On my system (Suse 6.3) latex is in /usr/share/texmf/teTeX/bin/i386-linux-glibc I don't recall doing anything other than installing tetex from the cd-rom. On Tue, 30 May 2000, Stephen Montgomery-Smith wrote:
I'm new to this list - hope this is appropriate.
I just bought SuSE Linux. I would like to have latex on it, so I installed the package tetex. It gives me tex, but not latex. Looking in /usr/share, I see nothing related to latex.
I looked through the CDs looking for a seperate latex package, but found nothing.
On other Unix's I have tried, tetex includes everything, including latex.
Please help,
