If my dumb terminal worked without fizzing and popping, I'd 'decapitate' the firewall and run a serial console without graphics card and keyboard. I've no spare serial ports on my main box so I can't hook that up with null-modem cable for the purpose. <sigh>
I use an old palm pilot pro that I picked up for $45 (US) at a show with a normal pilot cable ($19, pass the vaseline please).
I didn't see an answer to your original post, but IIRC all make modules_install does is put the modules into the appropriate directory. I think it should be /lib/<kernel version>/modules (not at linux box right now so I can't confirm that).
Almost right... it's actually /lib/moduels/<kernelversion> ;-) Bye, Chris -- __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
