Hi, I installed emu10k1 to use my new Soundblaster Live Value card. However, I am not sure that the following procedure is correct. Can anyone shed some light? 1) Install the emu10k1 2) go to /usr/lib/emu10k1-0.4.SuSE and run the installation script, which reports that the driver is installed. I can see the line "alias sound emu10k1" inserted in /etc/conf.modules and sound works. 3) If you reboot... then sound is gone, BUT if I had the line "modprobe emu10k1" to /etc/rc.d/boot.local then I have sound again (it loads the module). What I am wondering is if this last step is the most appropriate.
