I forgot a detail about my sound problem. Before (in 6.1), when I did a make install20 (that is install the AU8820 driver), it would update the modules.conf, and do a depmod -a (and presto, the sound would work on startup). Now, it doesn't start automatically even though the same modules.conf changes have been made. Also I get messages like: "Modprobe: modprobe: can't find sound-????-0" on my console (where ???? is one of several different items). Any ideas - I'm sure it's something simple since the Aureal 1.05 driver worked just fine in SuSE 6.1...
