Try change the setting CREATE_RESOLVCONF to "no" in /etc/rc.config and SuSEConfig will not touch you resolv.conf at all. Cheer, Wayne Yatsen Ng wrote:
Hi there,
I think YaST is a very useful tool but there are a few things that I don't like about it; every time I add or uninstall apps with it, it runs suseconfig, which overwrites some files that it shouldn't. For example /etc/resolv.conf - in order to get connected with my particular type of modem I had to edit this file manually. However, it got overwritten after I uninstalled a few apps with YaST today. Like I said, YaST can make your life easier but this is incredibly annoying to say the least!
