Hi,
I am trying to figure out why my fetchmail performance has deteriorated.
Two things were changed at about the same time and I can't tell which
changed caused the problem.
1. I upgraded from SuSE 6.0 to 6.3.
2. My ISP upgraded their mail servers.
The problem is that fetchmail now times out after receiving 5 or
six messages. The time out occurs when fetchmail is waiting to flush a
message. I tried running fetchmail with -v and the only thing that I
can't understand are the following lines:
************************************************************************
fetchmail: SMTP> MAIL FROM: BODY=7BIT SIZE=1961
fetchmail: SMTP< 451 ... Sender domain must
resolve
fetchmail: SMTP error: 451 ... Sender domain must
resolve
fetchmail: SMTP> RSET
fetchmail: SMTP< 250 Reset state
not flushed
************************************************************************
Is my fetchmail asking to the sender's domain to resolve or is this
something from my ISP? and does it have any affect on my grabbing the
mail?
Thanks
Rod
