Is the lib libuuid.so.1 anywhere in the 6.4 distro ?
Not as shared library, only as static.

Thanks...I was trying to compile evolution for gnome and one issues was this: ------------------------------------------- configure: warning:
You need Theodore Ts'o's uuid library to compile bonobrowser. If you're running Redhat, this may be as simple as typing... ln -s /lib/libuuid.so.1 /usr/lib/libuuid.so ...as root. not building bonobrowser --------------------------------------------
while compiling bonobo-0.12 which is also needed for evolution.
Install ext2fs_d. This contains the static versions of this library, which should work.
