Hm, but didn't the README you mentioned suggest to use built in sound support? If that's correct you have to recompile.
That is what the http://linux.aureal.com README said. Then I read the FAQ in the installation manual of SuSE 6.4 and it said that since kernel 2.2.x that one no longer needs to recompile the kernel for sound support.
As far as I understand, you downloaded a driver from aureal.com, didn't you? The SuSE manual only refers to sound drivers that are shipped with the precompiled kernels not drivers you got from somewhere else.
I called SuSE installation support and the person told me that the Turtle Beach Montego II is not supported. So, I give up on the attempt to make it work. I have five other computers in the room. I will use them for audio. - Carpe Diem! - Don - http://members.home.net/dongoodwin/ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
