I am not sure it will help, but here is what you need to do: login as the root user remove the old yast with "rpm -e yast" put cd no. 1 in your drive mount the cd with the command "mount /cdrom" then find the yast rpm with the command "find /cdrom | grep -i yast" then reinstall yast with the command "rpm -i <whatever the result of the above was>"
