I am currently in St. Louis and have swbell.net DSL. I have the "Enhanced" version..5 ips..etc. They gave me and the rest of the people I know in this town Speedstrem 5360's. It seems to preform quite well and I have only had 1 outage which lasted about 3 hours. This outage was a week after I got it and it hasn't happened since. The only bitch I have with swbell is their smtp servers suck. I use them to relay but I pop mail off a private account. Their servers are slow and really over worked...
They said they were starting to use PPPOE for their basic customers, but my buddy just got his DSL about a week ago and it was DHCP..I guess because they couldn't make PPPOE work. *shrug*
just my 0.02
