First up - trawl your /etc/modules.conf file and comment out that line (it will look similar to 'alias synth0 On' without the single quotes. Or... Secondly, did you recompile your kernel and get this message on bootup? If so make sure your System.map file is the right one for your kernel version. Kev

I would guess that it is a module for using FM-Synth with a MIDI sound device.
I don't know exactly why it is complaining or how to fix it though.
