Hello, I have finally conviced my boss that it would be a good idea to have a linux box in the office as a firewall/gateway. Now our web/e-mail hosting people have just informed us that they are going out of business and I have 3 days to get the machine running. For the moment until I have time to set up the proxy's I am going to use IPMasq. I have done this many times before but for some reason I can not get any request to the internet to work. When I run IPTraf and using my NT workstation machine to ping or telnet it shows packets going out both the internal network card and the one pointing to the world, but I can't seem to get a connection. Does anyone have any ideas about this. At the moment I am on a test network using simply ipchains -A -forward -i eth1 -j MASQ. Any help would be apreciated. Thank you, Austin P.S. I only have this set up like this because I couldn't get it to work at all. After I have it set up and work I will go back and fix the MASSIVE wholes I have left laying around. -- __ __ ____ ____ | \/ |/ ___/ ___| Austin Morgan | |\/| | | \___ \ Morgan Computer Services | | | | |___ ___) | (501) 229-5684 |_| |_|\____|____/ www.mcs.tzo.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
