I've downloaded the RealPlayer 7 plugin for netscape from the Real.com site and installed it on my SuSE 6.4 system. When I try to view a page which says it requires RealPlayer G2 I get a message "Unable to start helper application. Please make sure rpnphelper is in your path and restart netscape." In fact a symlink to /usr/local/RealPlayer7/rpnphelper is in /usr/local/bin which is definitely in the path. It isn't clear on the Real.com web site whether RealPlayer 7 is the same as or should substitute for RealPlayer G2, but I can't find any hint of G2 for linux. Am I missing something in the setup or is it just not possible yet to view G2 type material in linux?
Thanks for any help

Did you add this application to netscapes' preference/navigator/applications list? That is where netscape goes to look for which application to use.

RealPlayer 7.0 Plug-in is listed in preference/navigatot/applications for MimeType audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin which is what the page I'm trying to view seems to be looking for. the rpnphelper is not explicitly mentioned in the applications list but I assume the plugin is looking for it and for some reason can't find it even though it's where it's supposed to be. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply!
