Hello, I have a Pentium (Cyrix) 1 machine with 64Mb RAM and 2 GB Harddisk with SuSE Linux 5.3 installed and running. Together with a magazine I received the SuSE 6.3 condensed version (on just one CD). While trying to my system by booting with this disk I get the following message: ******* ... CPU: Cyrix 6x86L 2x Core/bus Clock stepping 02 Kernel panic: Kernel compiled for Pentium+, requires TSC In swapper task - not syncing ******** And then...nothing. I have to reset to get my computer going again. Could anybody tell me what these messages mean, and what I would need to do to be able to update my system ? Thanks very much !
