i believe i heard Seagate was getting out of the IDE business. if its scsi, i'd get seagate over fujitsu, if IDE, get fujitsu. the IDE fujitsu's seem to run a tad warmer than the others, but i've only had 2 of them go out on me personally over the last several years, and both of those were dropped. -- ======================================================================== Rocky McGaugh Atipa Linux Solutions Product Development www.atipa.com rocky@smluc.org rmcgaugh@atipa.com ======================================================================== On Thu, 13 Apr 2000, Paul Greene wrote:

I'm kind of a brand conscious consumer though, and wonder what kind of reputation this brand has for reliability.
Another store has a good price on some Seagate drives; a little bit more expensive, but not by much.
Which has the better reputation?
(When I can order what I want, I lean towards IBM or Quantumm. Down here (Panama) I tend to have to buy whatever is available.)
