Wal-Mart is a big forum. The U.S. Primaries are a big forum.
This is merely 1500 or so people who are into SuSe Linux, at some level or another. Seasoned users help newer ones; newer ones ask good questions and keep the seasoned users sharp. It's a symbiotic relationship. Eveyone, just by participating, lets the SuSE people know the great, good and not-so-good parts of their distro. This works, as attested to by the awards SuSe's won in the past year. (May it win many more.)
Bust up the list, and you kill an ecosystem.

You make a really good point. my vote (if I get a vote) is to leave everyone in one big group. Like it is now, there is a large user base with a vast amount of knowlegde. No one person can know everything, and the more people with a more diverse background in differant ascpects of computing (programming, gui, network, etc) the more knowledge one person can obtain though a gernal group then one that is specific to a certain topic. It is like: $suse-linux = ($everything_you_know (+ $some) * 1000); I honestly think every question asked on this list has been answered thoughly and knowledgably. At this point, I beilive ANYONE could ask ANYTHING and this group as a whole would be able to firgure it out and come up with a complete and though answer. I think we will know when this group is to big when it is filled with 500 "hot grits down the pants" troll posts per day, till then I think it is still a small little group. That or you just need to run `man procmail` at the command line :) Jack -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
