Well, jokes at a side... Do you anyone have any hint for me?
You need the unaccelerated XFB server that runs on top of the framebuffer.
And, where is that? I've tried with XF86_FBDev (or something similar) with identical (wrong) results... Now i'm thinking that the simptomps could be anything to be with wrong monitor frequencies, i'll see it when i arrive at home this night. XF86Setup fails by another cause anyway, perhaps from that you tell now it's that XF86Setup are trying to use the XF86_VGA std. server within a framebuffer environment... We'll see, i promisse to send a brief about that when i've resolve it to the list for those who had, have, will have to fight with the FB black dragon too... :) Thanks a lot, Philipp :)
