Every time my pop3 email client connects to my SuSE machine to check mail it get: Apr 7 14:37:53 SuSE popper[551]: connect from 192.168.0.98 I removed the -s switch from /etc/inetd.conf: #pop3 stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/sbin/popper -s pop3 stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/sbin/popper and SIGHUP inetd to restart, but it's still logging. I guess I don't understand syslogd. What do I need to do to make it stop logging every popper access?
