Few questions: I have a computer that has the odd memory configuration of 40MB (2-4MB and 2-16MB). I also have a swap of 128M. How come when i launch something memory intensive, such as staroffice or gimp, my HD start going like crazy? is this when my swap is full? Also is this configuration hard on running such memory hungry program. If so, any program that resembles some functions of gimp without using so much ram? Also, when i use free or top, I see that I have my 128 (or 127MB) swap, bu when i run kde's process manager, it says I don't have any swap. I have suse 6.3 and just updated the packages.
