Hi,
Can anyone recommend a Database supporting basic SQL for use on Linux ?
Interbase (www.interbase.com). It is a fully featured RDBMS (Transactions, Triggers Stored procedures, etc. etc.). Version 4 is free, Version 6 is Open Source, beta is available on web site. I use it instead of Oracle for small to medium database (< 250 Users. < 200GB). JDBC, DBI, PHP, Peal, ODBC, Native API interfaces. It is multi platform (Linux, Windows, Solaris, Novell, AIX, OpenVMS etc. etc.) and you don't have to change you database files for different platforms, develop on one, deploy on another.
