Try the SuSE wvdial.dod script - I can mail you the correct one if you
want it. Otherwise search the SuSE sdb ****GERMAN VERSION**** as the
English one doesn't woek for some reason.
Once wvdial.dod is executed it is put in demand dialling mode like diald,
except that choosing a connection is a whole lot easier since wvdial.conf
can hold as many isp configs as you want. Select hte one for demand
dialling by "/sbin/init.d/wvdial.dod start
ppp not to mention diald , this monts linux journal has an artical on gatways , masq and firewalling. Ypour right , I am still trying to get ppp set up and working with 6.3 . At least 6.1 had the thing to set up ppp. 6.3 now hooks into wvdial. But that is useless for seting upmplian vanilla ppp that needs to be set up and working for the diald daemon.
Any one know od a newbie ppp docs tha t assume no prior knoledhge on ppp ect...
I dl'd a ppp how to that was very long and was very technical.
I know you need to install ppp. any one know where the older suse scripts are on the cd from the older plian vanill suse ppp stuff (alloa 6.1/6.2)

Some of that number haven't mastered PPP yet. Some may still looking for the elusive Linux DUN. More and more of those dual boot boxes are showing up. We all need to start somewhere. -- Ed Craig epcraig@efn.org Taxi Linux FreeBSD Think this through with me, let me know your mind... Hunter/Garcia
