Have you tried the ESP print drivers form www.easysw.com. I installed the demo for my epson 1160. Works like a charm. Very easy to set up . It allows you to use any size paper (very easy yo set up) and suports the higher resolution of the printer. yast and printcap was a disaster for me. I couldent find the paper sises I needed , and choosing the biger paper coused ti all to come out lopsided or missing major parts of the page , and I could only get it to use one size paper. the esp printdrive sets them up , and meks nice entrys for you to print to. The down side is its commercial , the the licencingis VERY restrictive. It allows you to put it on ond system ONLY (creates a key from your hardware) and if you toss the machine out , you can not transfer the licence to another machine. If you upgrade componenets , you need to provide reciepts , new key and askf for a new one. So this wont realy work for any one who is conbstanly tweaking or changing there system. But it realy works like a charm. At 12:18 PM 3/25/2000 +1100, Graham Smith wrote:
Hi Ben,
I would suggest that you have a look at the GhostScript printer compatibility page. It covers most of the printers and the drivers.

Hello all,
If one was to set up the printer in the subject..which hp driver would one use. I couldn't find the 600c in the hardware DB..but I don't think this is a WinPrinter.
