[*] PROMISE PDC20246/PDC20262 support
The problem is the last option does not appear in my 6.3, kernel 2.2.13 configuration, either through 'make menuconfig' or 'make xconfig'. Do I need to get a later copy of the distro or did I do something wrong when I installed the source.
Make sure you have the following enabled in Code maturity level options: [*] Prompt for developement and/or incomplete code/drivers and in block devices: [*] Other IDE chipset support.
Plus `[*] PCI support'. If this doesn't help, try deleting /usr/src/linux/.config, and starting your kernel configuration from scratch.
