The suse freetype does not contain .ttf files you need to get these from the web or from MS installation and yes you can use them in linux. You need to create a truetype directory within your x11 fonts directory: you also need two other programs mkfontdir? and ttsomething? - I am at work so I can not remember the full path for font dir or file names, if your query is not answered later today I will send full truetype instructions for suse tomorrow. Cheers Rich --- From: Marius Oancea Hello, I installed freetype from suse distribution but this packet doesn't contain any ttf. (Just some binary to handle fonts). If I get some fonts from windows can I use them in linux ( in KDE )? Where should I put this files (.TTF) in file system, and where to tell to KDE what default ttf to use ?
