There is no possibility to make fonts from KDE look like in windows ( smooth ). I mean fonts from graphical applications like Netscape. I think Netscape use very ugly fonts.
Try installing a FreeType/TrueType font server. Freetype is at www.freetype.org and allows you to use TrueType fonts (.ttf) in X (ie in KDE, GNOME, AfterStep, FVWM, you name it...)
