I'm running a NAT server on my NTServer, I can get our Windows machines to use the NAT server if I assign them IP addresses in the rsame subnet as the NAT server and set their GATEWAY ip as the IP of the NAT server. Under my SuSE Linux workstation I cannot get it to use the NAT server as it's gateway, actually under Redhat I can enter "GATEWAY=192.168.0.1" in /etc/rc.d/network and that gets things working. But I tried it under on mySuSE 6.3 and it had no effect.
Anyone know how to get this working?
TIA

Did you set the default gateway using YaST (Network configuration -> Network base configuration, select eth0, F6=IP address) ? It's a pretty obscure place to put it, but I'm using SuSE 6.3 on my laptop and it's working great. -- George Toft http://www.georgetoft.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
