On my server, when user who has dialed inot my system (using ppp) hangs up, the RTS on the modem stays low. The problem with this is that the modem can then answer the next incoming call but cannot receive data, ie cannot recieve any login. If I use minicom it can raise rts and use the modem. The only way I have found to raise rts is to reboot the server. is there anyway I can force the port to raise rts when the carrier is dropped via a script or something?
