Hi, I have recently installed SuSE Linux 6.3 and am now trying to set it up to suit my needs. After having edited the KDE main menu with Menu Editor. I can no longer see several items at the end in some longer menus, like 'Utilities' and 'Applications'. Before editing the menu there used to be a submenu called 'More...' but now it's gone somewhere. Can any one tell me how to fix this? Any suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Boris
This is an unconfirmed bug in KDE. My solution is to remove the line "SortOrder=..." from /opt/kde/share/applnk/.directoy.
Good luck. Koos Pol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- S.C. Pol T: +31 20 3116122 Systems Administrator F: +31 20 3116200 Compuware Europe B.V. E: koos_pol@nl.compuware.com Amsterdam PGP public key available

Hi, Removing the "Sort Order=..." from /opt/kde/share/applnk/.directory didn't actually help. It just changed the order in which the items ("Development", "Applications", "Games" etc.) appeared in the main menu. But thanks for the advice. Now I know how to change the order of kde's main menu items :) What did help is reinstalling kde. After that I got my good old "More..." submenu at the end of long menus, pointing to which I get the other part of the menu. What I do not know is if this reinstalling affected the settings for applications and stuff like this.
