Ok, I have tried many things and read all that I could about setting this up and it is not working right... I have an HP LaserJet with a directjet card in it. After much trying in YaST I finaly read the book and it sujjested using setup in the apsfilter directory. So I did. I set up a remote printer and then set up a prefilter for it. When I try to print to the prefilter name I get and error:eowyn:/var/lib/apsfilter # lpr -PPS_ops apsfilter.setup Status Information: sending job 'root@eowyn+627' to PS_ops@localhost connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1 connected to 'localhost' requesting printer PS_ops@localhost error 'LINK_TRANSFER_FAIL' sending str '^BPS_ops' to PS_ops@localhost job 'root@eowyn+627' transfer to PS_ops@localhost failed Then I tried to send to the remote name using the following command lpr -Premote filename. That printed a banner page and then like the first 3 lines of the text. The text is slowly rolling off the page and after the first 3 lines all the rest are blank pages. What am I doing wrong???? I am including my printcap file to help...
