The same thing happens to me. I have tried every trick I knew to get Netscape to pass it the right information.
Two things have to be done manually to get it to work at least somewhat as
expected.
1) Go to where you installed RealPlayer7 and execute the two scripts in
there: mimeinstall.sh and pluginstall.sh. The first one adds entries to
to your ~/.mime.types, ~/.mailcap and creates KDE mime types. The second
script copies the plugin + java class to ~/.netscape/plugins.
2) Edit Navigator preferences and add appropriate mime types for RealAudio:
Type : audio
Subtype : x-pn-realaudio
ext : ra,ram,rm
Program : /usr/local/RealPlayer7/realplay %s
Of cause, you have to adapt the last Entry to where you installed rp7.
