The best option: log in as a user with your telnet session. After that you
can use the commando "su" and give the root-password to log in as root.
2nd best option: edit /etc/securetty to include some telnet-tty's (ttyp0,
ttyp1 or something like that, I'm not sure about the exact name)

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to log into linux as root from telnet? I have set ROOT_LOGIN_REMOTE=yes in /etc/rc.config But it still doesnt seem to work. Logging in as a user is however no problem.
Thanks
Paul
