I am trying to install a rather large data analyis/display program. It comes with an installation script which is written in csh. When I try to run it I get the response: Finstall: command not found (Finstall is the name of the installation program) Looking into Finstall I found that it is trying to invoke csh (#! /bin/csh -f). However, there is no csh on my computer (SuSE 6.3), and I can find no sign of it on the ftp site. (I'm at work and don't have the CD's with me.) There actually is a csh in the /usr/bin directory but its a link to ../../tcsh. There is no tcsh in bin, and also no sign of it on the ftp site. I'm sure I can find either csh or tcsh somewhere on the internet, but is there some reason for them not being available in SuSE (or more to the point, some reason not to install them on my computer?) It seems odd that the links would be placed in the /usr/bin directory without actually having the executables???
