Has anyone made it through an XFree86 upgrade successfully? Specifically, the package manager dependencies on windowmanager and x_server for xf86.rpm and dependency on c_preprocessor for xfsetup*.rpm. I am using SuSE 6.2 x86
Well, I know that the x_server dependency, at least, is just a placeholder to remind you to actually install an X server (usually XF86_SVGA). The other two (windowmanager and c_preprocessor) also sound like placeholders, but please *don't* quote me on that. If you find that they *are* all merely placeholders, then you can install the package with the --nodeps option.
