RedHat 6.1 is your best bet. You will find that 6.2 beta, piglet, is out. I have installed it and it has a few problems. I would stay with 6.1 for a little while longer. Don't forget to download powertools 6.1 for sparc also. If you are use to the kde support in SuSE, you will be disappointed with RedHat. If you are disappointed with the gnome support in SuSE, you will be pleased with RedHat. I have tried Dedian 2.1R4, 2.1R2, Caldera 2.2 ( it is half cooked, can't tell if it is .2 or .3) and Spiro 64. Mandrake has announced that it will support sparc. I have not seen a download of the sparc distribution yet. With a sparc 5 you also have the options of the BSDs. I look at them time to time, but am looking for ultra support. I can not tell you what the status of those projects but older hardware support is there. This post is not really off topic as, I think, there are a few who would like to see SuSE sparc support. Thank you Russell
If not (or even if so) do you know which is the best distro to use on a Sparc?
