sorry folks, another 3com special, it needs to advertise itself (pnp), only ocurrs when first ''contacted'' after cold boot. you'd think they would have learn't by now. csijon ----------

------------------------------------------------------------------- saw this problem once with a 3Com 905Tx card with dual boot win95 and linux.
Linux required cold boot of NIC before it would work. Easy to see as the detection phase would show a MAC ID of FF:FF:FF....etc.
Remember reading somewhere it was something to do with Windows not properly resetting the Plug and Play part on the PCI Bus!?
Maybe you are having similar problems.
