Hi, people. This is for YaST 1 with SuSE 6.2. I noticed that whenever YaST installs a new package, /etc/hosts gets sorted, which is a good thing. However, the sorting is done on quad strings, instead of quad numbers, making it much less useful. For example, it gives: 209.14.217.1 209.14.217.10 209.14.217.100 209.14.217.101 209.14.217.102 209.14.217.16 209.14.217.2 209.14.217.255 209.14.217.70 while I would expect: 209.14.217.1 209.14.217.2 209.14.217.10 209.14.217.16 209.14.217.70 209.14.217.100 209.14.217.101 209.14.217.102 209.14.217.255 I have a cron-triggered process that resorts /etc/hosts more usefully, but it would be nice if YaST just knew how to do it correctly. -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
