I confess to being a relatively new Linux user. I am slowly moving from Win98 over to Linux.
I would like advice on selecting a joystick for Linux gaming. I may be missing something, but I have been unable to find anything in the LDP site that really made sense to me. I am considering a Gravis Digital Blackhawk, but am unsure of its Linux compatiblity.
Any advice / recommedations or simply pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I am primarily interested in first person shoot 'em up games.
I haven't tried one myself, but I've been told Joystick support is very good in Linux. The driver was written by Vojtech Pavlik, who works for SuSE Labs in our Prague office (http://www.suse.cz/ if you speak that language...).
