I downloaded MySQL-client-3.22.30-1.i386.rpm. When I try to use rpm to install it I get a message from rpm that there is a conflict with mysqclnt-3.22.27-2, the version that SuSE installed for me.
Can you tell me the best way to upgrade when I can't wait for the next version of SuSE. I don't want to mess things up.
Try to deinstall the SuSE RPM firsts: "rpm -e mysqclnt" Which RPM did you use? I would be interested to see the result. On a side note: I have already put MySQL 3.22.30 RPMs for SuSE Linux 6.x on ftp.suse.com.
