I am running SuSE 6.2 on this box that I am trying to get nfsd running on. In the rc.config file there is a variable USE_KERNEL_NFSD. It makes a statement about needing the 2.2x kernal before you can use it, and SuSE 6.2 comes with 2.2.10. What does this variable do? I am under the impression that nfsd can be comiled into the kernal. Does this flag load a module into the kernal? If this is what it does do, is there any advantage in having NFS compiled into the kernal? If there is, what is the name of the option you need to set on when compiling the kernal and what section of configuring the kernel is it in? -- Sam Carleton ------------ http://www.bigfoot.com/~scarleton (Homepage) http://www.uptimes.net/hostinfo.html?hid=1218 (Linux Box) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
