Starting Firewall Initialization: (final run) The Firewall script needs to know the external (internet) interface! failed (in humiliating red!) This is what I get, whatever I try. Yet, my rc.firewall script duly includes this: W_DEV_WORLD_ippp0="192.168.0.1 255.255.255.255" I have this home network: my linux box, + two win98 boxes, connecting via samba with the linux box; i would like to masquerade so these two extra computers can access the internet. It used to work in 6.2, but i've not had any luck with 6.3. I tried the original 1.2 rc.firewall script, which gives no error message, but doesn not provide masquerading facilities, then 1.4, then 1.7, then 1.8., to no avail. ippp0 is 192.168.0.1 eth0 is 192.168.0.99 winbox1 is 192.168.0.98 winbox 2 is 182.168.0.97 what can i do? fx -- ______________________ Courtesy of SuSE Linux Kernel 2.2.14 (but who cares?) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
