Can also to rpm -qf /path/to/file/<filename>
There is an easy trick to know the SuSE package out of an installed executable. For example, to know where `telnet' comes from, do:
$ rpm -qf `type -ap telnet` nkitb-99.7.6-7
This is exactly what it does. :-) The `type -ap telnet` part is to transform the program name into its path. -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
