Dear All,
I've been using xmcd to play CD's. However, now that I'll enable scsi emulation and disable ide support for the CD-ROM I need to reconfigure xmcd, but I am unsure as to how to answer some of the configuration questions about the types of CD-ROM's I have (Toshiba XM-6202BH and HP-8100 --the CDwriter). a) When selecting the model, should I choose a SCSI or a non-SCSI model? b) The device interface method (if selecting non-SCSI), I assume should be "Linux ioctl method"? (If I were to select SCSI, then xmcd assuems that the cd-rom is SCSI-2 compliant).
I configured mine as SCSI and accepted pretty much all of the defaults (as far as I can remember) and then went into the configuration file (/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xmcd/config on my system) and made the following change "DeviceInterfaceMethod 1". Probably if you read the configuration questions closely you can do it then instead of the way I do it.
