ok, in a little bit of a bind here. i've been using SuSE for a while now, and the last time i had to set it up as a router, all that needed to be done was to specify ip_forward as yes. but that doesn't seem to be working. i noticed that there is an option in the in networking section of the kernel config. what actually needs to be done now to set up a 6.3 box as a router?
Well, not much. Set "IP_FORWARD" in /etc/rc.config to "yes" and adjust your routing table /etc/route.conf according to your needs. The default SuSE kernel has IP forwarding compiled in.
