On http://wiki.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Weekly_news_team there's a
members section with e.g. the editors in it. I like the information but I'm a bit confused about the style.
the wiki code has just "* {{User|saigkill}} Sascha Manns (Editor in Chief Editor Main
Newsletter)" which looks perfectly fine to me
But the presentation is that "Sasch Manns etc." is displayed in a
special box - like we display code. This looks strange to me. Can we change that? Looking at Template:User nothing stroke me as odd.
Well, then you didn't debug enough templates yet ;-)
Obviously I didn't ;)
I'm quite sure this is a whitespace/linebreak issue caused by the template. You could easily check/debug it if the ExpandTemplates extension was installed (hint, hint ;-) The resulting wikitext (without links) after template expansion is something like this:
* saigkill Talk - Contributions
Sascha Manns (Editor in Chief Editor Main Newsletter)
-> The line starting with a space renders as the code-style box.
I just fixed this by removing a newline in front of the <noinclude> in the template, see http://wiki.opensuse.org/index.php?title=Template:User&diff=9262&oldid=2591
The weekly news team page looks better now :-)
It does indeed - thanks a lot, Christian!
