Well yesterday I also came across these pages and was wondering the same you are now.So , what I feel the above links does not satisfy enough to stay under openSUSE: . Like yesterday Cori (jens) was asking on 'where to place Gnome , should it be under Main name space '?. I believe 'NO' , Main name space is not the right place for Gnome . Instead it should be under Portal I feel . Similarly , Bash , BIOS , CLI and CUPS would be good as it is, no need of any extra name space .
For example one can make out from this http://en.opensuse.org/BIOS that this belongs to openSUSE itself .
According to another Henne's post we break blobs like YaST (GNOME, KDE) to user stuff that is Main namespace (the one without prefix), and development and team stuff that is in openSUSE: namespace. In that light, BIOS article is information to users -> Main namespace. It is short description of vocabulary term with links to more information on the web. Developers, typically, should not need this info. We don't want to write or copy whole articles that already exist elsewhere. Short description should satisfy what that majority of users needs, just one or two sentences explanation, and section References is information on the web that we think is correct. Section References is there to save users from going to Google and pick up some junk. They look for the information on the certain word for the first time and have no idea what is correct information and what not. -- Regards Rajko, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
